Helping The Community
Impact-Upward Bound is an academic support program funded by the U.S. Department of Education's TRIO Programs division. About Us
On May 15, 2021, Impact Educational and Housing Development expanded its mission to include providing educational opportunities through college and career access. We know that housing can be a platform for driving other outcomes— that housing is not just a typical market good, but also a place to anchor services and where different policies central to opportunity can be overlaid. Affordable housing provides an ideal platform for delivering a wide variety of health and social services to improve health, education, and economic outcomes.
The organization was formally organized on March 8, 2007, under the direction of Ms. Ann Alexander who owned a mortgage company for a period of 18 years. Ms. Alexander holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration. After recognizing, that low-income families in this geographical location have a long rental history that transcends four (4) generations, Ms. Alexander had the desire to extend her expertise and knowledge to educate and assist families in becoming homeowners and entrepreneurs.
